Unit Highlights and the community you’ll be caring for: The AdventHealth Sand Lake Emergency Room (ER) is an extension of our AdventHealth Winter Park location.
The 13,700-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art emergency healthcare serving the residents of Orange County.
The 12-bed ER includes an urgent care track to diagnose and treat non-emergent cases more efficiently and offers emergent care with a helicopter pad onsite.
The AdventHealth Sand Lake ER will be staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, critical care nurses, both stroke and chest-pain experts.
The proximity to emergency care makes AdventHealth Sand Lake ER one of the closest health care facilities to the new Epic Universe theme park.

The role you’ll contribute: The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
