The CNA is a member of the patient care team. Their duties include patient preparation for surgery/procedure, obtain patient vitals, moving patients, assist with bay/bed turnover, restocking units, and a variety clinical tasks in the pre-op setting. Essential job functions:

1. Assist patients with admission and discharge process 2. Assist nurses with patient scheduling, PreOp calls, discharged patient follow up calls, 3. Complete tasks as assigned by nurses. Skills & Abilities

Able to work independently and meet established deadlines. Able to make sound reasonable decisions. Highly organized Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions. Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness; is receptive to change, and exhibits creativity and innovation. Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact. Ability to develop excellent working relationships with patients and staff. Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed. Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities. Experience, Training & Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. 3-6 months of previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CNA or MA certification preferred. Language preferred: Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean. Equal Employment Opportunity & Work Force Diversity
