Department Political and Global Affairs

Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Political and Global Affairs at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#128200) in public policy at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026.
The department is looking for a dynamic teacher and emerging researcher who can contribute to public policy and public management courses across multiple concentrations in our department. Applicants should be able to teach introductory American politics and upper-division courses in areas such as American public policy, state and local government, and public management. We welcome applicants who can contribute courses on policy areas such as environment, civil rights, and criminal justice. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising, professional research, and service.
Required Education A terminal degree in political science, public administration, public policy, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
