Early Preschool Lead Teacher at The Goddard School
We are looking for a Lead Teacher for our Get Set/Early Preschool classroom (2.5‑3.5‑year‑old). Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard Academy’s industry‑leading Quality Assurance standards. They write and implement lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes, while creating a positive learning environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
Key qualifications: a minimum of 1 year of classroom experience, strong classroom management skills, ability to collaborate with colleagues, and a passion for working with children. Teachers must follow our Health and Safety guidelines and communicate effectively with parents.
Working Hours & Compensation
Hours: 7:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: $500 for teachers who are fully vaccinated (within six months of vaccination or a booster if beyond six months)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field; 18 semester hours of coursework related to young children birth to age 8; management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field; 18 semester hours related to young children birth to age 8; 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool and 1 year of management experience.
A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential; additional 12 semester hours or continuing education units in courses related to young children birth to age 8; 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool and 1 year of management experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans.
Meet the individual needs of the children.
Communicate with parents.
Participate in staff and training meetings.
Design appropriate room arrangements to support the goals and developmental level of children.
Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
Present expectations appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.
Plan and implement activities that develop self‑esteem and social skills.
Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff.
Build teamwork.
Use assessment tools.
Commit to continuing education.
