Food Service Manager (nomnom Grangeville | Full-Time) Location: 901 W Main St., Grangeville, ID 83530

Salary Range: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour. Shift differential: $3.00 eligible.

Primary Job Responsibilities Safety

Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers by setting safety as a priority.

Ensure gas pumps, lot and store areas are clean and free of debris at all times.

Work with the Safety Team and conduct monthly mandatory meetings and trainings.

Report safety incidents in a timely manner and comply with safety policy, programs and processes.

Food Management

Answer questions about the food items offered.

Prepare food and adhere to safe and sanitary handling practices required by federal and state regulations.

Replenish supplies and food offerings.

Clean surface areas, remove trash, and maintain general housekeeping.

Lead and train the food inventory process.

Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

Leadership and Personnel Management

Train, develop, guide and evaluate food service employees to operate safely and provide superior customer service.

Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.

Recruit, interview and select qualified applicants, ensuring non‑discriminatory practices.

Assist the Store Manager with employee paperwork and performance documents.

Ensure continuous training for food and customer service performance and safety awareness.

Motivate, provide feedback and share employee recognition.

Assist in addressing employee performance and violation issues.

Set and communicate performance expectations; evaluate actual performance.

Develop potential employees through coaching and training for future promotion.

Carry out all company policies.

Customer Service and Site Relationships

Provide prompt and courteous customer service, including assistance at the gas pump.

Accurately ring up sales on the POS system and comply with cash handling procedures.

Develop positive relationships with customers, vendors and contractors.

Own responsibility for all cash, money and inventory during shifts.

Ensure the store is clean, stocked and organized for fast, convenient service.

Promote suggestive selling and monitor customer needs.

Assist customers at the pump and in the store with product location and equipment use.

Solicit customer feedback through personal interaction.

Resolve complaints quickly and sincerely.

Promote a safe, positive public image and the Loyalty Rewards program.

Business and Financial Management

Plan and manage store activities to maximize operating profit.

Monitor merchandise, food movement and competitor offerings to inform product mix and pricing strategies.

Maintain store layout and product displays per schematics.

Execute sales promotions and implement network‑wide campaigns.

Manage food inventory to ensure optimum stocking levels.

Control operating expenses, including maintenance, utilities, supplies and inventory loss.

Prepare and submit daily sales and waste reports, invoices and bank deposits.

Safeguard all money received and disbursed.

Organize and maintain all site files, manuals and information materials.

Obtain and maintain all required food and age‑restricted product certifications within two weeks of employment.

Facilities Management

Assist in maintaining appearance standards of paving, lighting, canopy and other physical structures.

Report facility issues as needed.

Ensure facilities and equipment are in safe working order.

Maintain dispensing and store equipment to ensure clean, sanitary and safe working conditions.

Personnel Assistance

Maintain a professional and supportive image.

Assist the Store Manager in creating, maintaining, and improving teamwork and training new associates.

Assist with staffing and schedule labor to meet customer demand while staying within budget.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.

Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) for inventory, purchases and pump operations.

Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.

Ability to follow safety procedures.

Reach overhead, grip, wrist movement and finger dexterity needed for restocking, packaging, POS operation and maintenance.

Squat and kneel frequently for obtaining and replenishing items.

Push/pull with arms up to 20 pounds (e.g., hand‑truck).

Lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist or overhead normally; occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Climb a stepladder for stocking or retrieving materials.

Note: There may be exposure to gas fumes, solvents and occasional noise.

Qualifications Basic qualifications: at least 19 years of age, legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience in retail sales, food service and handling cash preferred.

Perform basic math accurately.

Previous food supervisory experience preferred.
