Accounting Controller (NetSuite Experience Required)

This is a 6 month contract position with potential to convert to full time after 6 months

Salary: $60-70/hour

This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the company’s accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role will oversee the monthly close, revenue recognition, and internal controls while partnering closely with Finance leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Oversee general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation

Oversee SaaS revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including subscriptions, usage‑based revenue, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations

Oversee chart of accounts, revenue recognition modules, workflows, and integrations (e.g., Salesforce, billing platforms)

Lead NetSuite enhancements, automation initiatives, and system optimizations to support growth and scalability

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Establish clear policies, procedures, and internal controls

Prepare and review internal and external financial reporting packages

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

5+ years accounting experience

NetSuite experience

Revenue accounting experience

$60 - $70 an hour
