The pay range per hour is $21.50 - $36.55. Pay is based on several factors that vary by position, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. ALL ABOUT SPECIALTY SALES A team of specialized consultants who understand what it means to meet guests where they are and deliver through strong operations, incredible guest experience, and compelling visual merchandising. Teams in Apparel and Accessories, Home, Baby, Beauty, and Electronics focus on guest experience while ensuring products are available and easy to shop.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Guest service fundamentals and experience; building a guest‑first culture on your team
Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals
Leading multiple businesses, balancing team member expertise and ensuring effective leadership in each department
Leading a team of hourly team members; including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience; model, train, and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.
Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
Plan daily/weekly workload; execute to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising sets, planograms, sales plans, events and promotions.
Implement best practices during onboarding and learning; close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate.
Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, aligning with business priorities set by your direct leader.
Encourage team to use available tools (fitting room, testers, displays) to welcome, inspire and influence guests by providing personalized recommendations.
Partner with third‑party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met.
Support the team’s execution of merchandise set changes and visual presentations for defined categories.
Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring products are organized, signed correctly and merchandised to support seasonal trends.
Support the bulk‑area backroom processes, organization, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor.
Participate in hiring and onboarding processes.
Prioritize guest experience by ensuring fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe.
Set clear goals and expectations, hold team members accountable.
Maintain a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Lead and model a safety culture through safe behaviors, hazard identification, incident response, and injury reporting.
Model physical security processes to enhance the in‑store security culture.
Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
Follow safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier when applicable.
Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick‑up and drive‑up; maintain compliance with adult beverage laws.
Greet guests as you and your team work; engage with guests in a welcoming manner.
Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
All other duties as needed based on business requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You enjoy interacting and helping others.
You thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active, physically demanding role.
You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
Skill using multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners and other technology.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests.
Effective communication skills.
Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within timeframes.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Access all building areas to respond to guest or team member issues.
Interpret instructions, reports and information.
Accurately handle cash register operations.
Climb ladders when needed.
Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, lifting up to 44 lbs if needed.
Flexible work schedule; reliable attendance required.
Work under varying temperatures and humidity.
Mobile for the entirety of the shift.
