Newborn Hearing Screen Technician - Per Diem Position We are looking for a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to provide hearing screens in hospital settings for infants, ensuring early detection of hearing loss. On‑the‑job training and annual certification through the American Academy of Audiology will be provided.

Responsibilities

Conduct newborn hearing screens in new mother’s hospital rooms.

Educate parents about the importance of hearing screens using videos and printed materials.

Enter and validate patient data and hearing screen results.

Confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments as needed.

Follow up on equipment issues and train new staff.

Ensure timely submission of billing and adherence to protocol for security and infant identification.

Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Maintain orientation and training requirements, including patient privacy training.

Complete company and hospital orientations and maintain employee health requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Entry Level Healthcare

High school diploma or GED.

Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Preferred experience: 1‑3 months related experience, infants, hospital setting.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer proficiency and accurate data entry.

Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Physical ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).

Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
