Per Diem SURGICAL TECHNICIAN II

Job Type Per Diem
Salary Range $29.99 – $30.01/hr. (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Job Description Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite. Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure. Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon. Assists in room turnover and is responsible for instrument decontamination. Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups. This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR. This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
Qualifications Education
Required: Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: Three years surgical tech experience.
Preferred: Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience.
License(s)
Required: BLS
Preferred: CST
Special Skills
Required: Mastery of advanced Surgical Tech skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service.
Preferred: Experience in multi‑specialty services.

Required: Basic computer
