Physical Therapist Assistant
Athletico is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a flexible, part‑time role. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and are committed to delivering high‑quality rehabilitative care.
Position Overview This is a PRN, flexible‑hour opportunity under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager and a supervising Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide safe and effective therapy services to patients with physical impairments, injuries, or age‑related conditions.
Responsibilities
Deliver patient care and therapy as directed by the supervising PT.
Progress patients’ plan of care established by the Physical Therapist.
Document therapy sessions, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required paperwork promptly.
Communicate regularly with the supervising PT regarding treatment plans, follow‑up appointments, and discharge decisions.
Supervise rehabilitation aides and collaborate with administrative staff as needed.
Participate in community outreach activities such as health fairs, in‑service presentations, and special events.
Maintain patient charts, current scripts, and insurance coverage information.
Develop professional relationships with referral sources, including physicians and community partners.
Continue professional development through education and staff in‑services.
Qualifications
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the state of practice.
Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
Current CPR certification and AED training.
Minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience (preferred).
Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
