We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team at
Thrive Behavioral Hospital . Reporting directly to the Director of Admissions, this role plays a key part in facilitating smooth and efficient patient admissions while ensuring insurance and payor documentation is accurate and complete. You’ll be a vital liaison between our admissions, marketing, and clinical teams—providing outstanding support to new patients and their families.
Base pay range $17.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service via phone and in-person interactions
Promptly answer and return calls in a courteous and professional manner
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through online portals and direct communication with payors
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a seamless admissions process and proper care coordination
Maintain required authorizations and notify insurance carriers of patient admissions
Support the admissions and marketing teams to improve communication and streamline the intake process
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year experience in a behavioral health or hospital setting
Prior knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
Experience with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and utilization management
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multi-task in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations
Familiarity with PCC and medical terminology
Proficient computer and word processing skills
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and drug screening
