What You Will Do You will deliver material to support the manufacturing process with a primary focus on inventory control. Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, you will maintain the materials in the warehouse in an organized fashion with part numbers on all product, pull and stage jobs as assigned per the production schedule and associated pick tickets, deliver staged jobs per the production schedule and respond to material requisitions where pick lists or Kanban systems are not in place. Inventory accuracy is the highest priority for this role, except for safety, which is the only activity that outweighs accuracy.

How You Will Do It

All responsibilities and functions as detailed in the Material Handler I job description.

Have complete familiarity of all job functions in both Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse operations.

Trained and certified in the use of all of the material‑handling equipment throughout the manufacturing operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, stand‑ups, etc.

Able to access the ERP system and perform inventory transactions and inquiries within the system.

Utilizing the ERP system, determine by part number the quantity of material on hand by location.

Able to research inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction history of material movement.

Understands how and why the quarantine location exists and how to use it.

Performs job tasks in a manner that reflects behavior complimentary to the JCI LEM program.

Is a steward of all safety rules, regulations and guidelines.

Other duties as required.

What We Look For

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Strong customer service skills required; very good communication skills.

Hold a forklift certification.

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, industrial/manufacturing environment with some exposure to non‑toxic irritants.

Ability to work with machinery and moving parts.

Ability to operate crane, truck, motor vehicles.

Ability to work with moving vehicles, ladders, and scaffolding.

Ability to work at heights.

Ability to properly lift/carry/push/pull/manipulate/transport up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., frequently lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work in a non‑climate controlled environment.

Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing or walking over hard concrete surface.

Exposure to recurring bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, sitting, climbing, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.

Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in the English language.

Must have the physical strength and ability to frequently work more than 40 hours weekly.

Ability to operate all job‑necessary equipment including moving vehicles in a safe manner.

Persons under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol, or a prescribed medication with a prescription warning to not operate machinery or drive a moving vehicle shall not be considered able to operate the necessary equipment in a safe manner.
