Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens
Join Walgreens as a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate and play a vital role in delivering a delightful customer experience while supporting pharmacy operations.
Base Pay Range: $17.00/hr – $19.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience through friendly, courteous, and efficient service.
Register sales on assigned cash registers and manage cashier duties including voids, returns, and exchanges.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, including obtaining patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s attention, including interactions with physicians.
Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising, perform inventory checks, and comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Implement store systems for inventory management, order processing, and photo services as required.
Adhere to Walgreens policies, the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and Good Faith Dispensing procedures.
Complete any additional duties delegated by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training programs or state‑required certification.
Attend mandatory training and complete PPLs to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy regulations.
Basic Qualifications
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of at least six months in a retail environment.
Previous work experience with Walgreens.
Strong math skills for accurate prescription dispensing.
Proficiency with computers and store inventory control systems.
PTCB certification.
