Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care following patient-specific needs.

Provide reception services including greeting patients, registration, telephone encounters, and appointment scheduling.

Be responsible for maintaining exam rooms, utility rooms, and supply carts in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring all are supplied appropriately and equipment is maintained.

Engage in effective communication with all staff to ensure smooth operations, problem‑solving, and enhanced team interactions.

Administer medications in accordance with established guidelines.

Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of blood specimen procurement within the scope of practice, correctly identifying patients undergoing phlebotomy and labeling specimens per established policies and procedures.

Assist in office procedures such as hemorrhoid banding, pelvic exam, pap smear, and ear irrigation.

Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures as documented through review or observed in an actual emergency; notify the Manager of all unusual urgent occurrences as they develop.

Qualifications

Knowledge of standard Precautions, body mechanics, and patient care procedures acquired through completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program.

Ability to communicate, interpret, and respond verbally and in writing to patients, family members, and the care team, and to document patient care tasks on the chart; support patient education; facilitate team goals and effectiveness.

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required within 90 days of hire.

BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Compensation Salary Range: 22.00 – 28.50 USD per hour.
