Grain Facility Operator in Training – 1st Shift

Apply to join CGB Enterprises, Inc. as a Grain Facility Operator in Training – 1st Shift. This role works at a facility that loads and unloads rail cars and trucks. It is a general position performing a wide variety of duties based on daily needs. Responsibilities

Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings. Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE. Transfer, load, and move grain to appropriate location. Perform rail duties such as prep, unload, load, placement of rail cars. Perform duties associated with weighing trucks and grading grain. Complete documentation timely, accurately, and legibly. Carry out general clean‑up, including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting, and other housekeeping responsibilities. Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs, where applicable. Maintain grain quality while stored and/or transferred. Dependent on facility may be responsible for moving product to storage, loading trucks using heavy equipment, loading rail, operating, running, monitoring, and shutting down dryer, operating various heavy equipment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: None required. Preferred: 1 year’s experience working in an industrial environment with a dependable work record. Basic mathematical skills. Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people. Ability to complete documentation requirements. Ability to follow directions, interpret instructions, and troubleshoot problems. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to use tools appropriate for assigned task. Ability to remain focused on exceptional customer service, both internally and externally. Physical Demands

Ability to balance constantly/continuously. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel and squat (constantly/continuously) frequently. Ability to climb stairs and ladders to significant heights. Ability to concentrate on task without becoming distracted, constantly/continuously. Ability to distinguish grain characteristics in samples. Ability to distinguish odors using nose. Ability to enter information into a computer. Ability to grasp and reach frequently. Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs. occasionally to continuously depending on daily needs. Ability to meet all applicable PPE requirements. Ability to meet PFT and fit testing, where applicable. Ability to pass required testing under FRA and DOT for this position. Ability to perform work in confined spaces. Ability to walk on barge surface(s) and work around water. Ability to stand and walk constantly/continuously. Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person and over two‑way radio, and recognize emergency alarms. Ability to understand and communicate written instructions. Ability to walk safely on top of railcars, open gates, operate vibrators, etc., where applicable. Ability to work extended hours, weekend, holidays, alternate shifts as needed. Ability to work in high dust levels. Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Acutely aware of surroundings and ability to quickly adjust. Environmental Conditions

The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings with heat, cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Personal protective equipment is frequently required. Travel of 5%–20% may be required at some facilities, including off‑site training or work at alternate locations. Salary

Expected base pay range: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour. Actual pay offered may vary based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits
