Position Details Title:
Polysomnographic Technician
Department:
Neurodiagnostics
Employment Type:
Part time
Shift:
Night Shift (8pm – 6:30am), PRN – minimum 24 hours per month.
Responsibilities
Prepares patients for and performs routine polysomnographic procedures.
Collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results.
Performs only procedures for which proficiency has been demonstrated.
Assists registered technologists with more complex recordings.
Requirements
Special Training: Enrollment and attendance in END technology training program and Basic Life Support.
License/Registration: Must obtain RPSGT within two years.
Experience: No experience required.
Education
High school graduation.
Field of study (preferred): Electroneurodiagnostics.
