Responsibilities
Perform clinical assessment and identify patient needs.
Document, prepare, and complete patient Plan of Care; track progress and revise as needed.
Meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
Plan and provide appropriate treatment for neuro‑muscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders based on medical referral and therapy assessment.
Assist and instruct patients and families in transfer techniques appropriate to patient abilities; instruct on the safe use of equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
Promote company mission and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association‑approved program.
Current Texas State License as a Physical Therapist.
Current Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
One year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting; pediatric experience required.
Effective interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
Able to work in a patient's home in various conditions.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Proof of current CPR certification.
Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing; prolonged standing and walking are required.
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient/family individualized psychosocial needs.
