Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. We are seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technician Lead to support our radiologists and the hospital team by facilitating efficient patient care for animals receiving diagnostic imaging. In this role, you will assist with a variety of daily tasks while collaborating closely with all departments across the hospital.
We are offering a sign on bonus of up to $3,000 for this role.
Position Overview A Diagnostic Imaging Technician Lead supports veterinarians and specialists in the delivery of advanced diagnostic imaging services. They are responsible for overseeing safety and badge maintenance, ordering supplies, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, running the daily flow through assignments, and addressing interpersonal concerns throughout the day. The role requires technical proficiency, patient care skills, and strong collaboration with the veterinary team.
Compensation
Non‑Credentialed Technicians: $24–$29/hr. based on experience
Credentialed Technicians: $29–$36/hr. based on experience
Veterinary Technician Specialists: $37–$44/hr. based on experience
Anticipated Schedule
Full Time
Wednesday – Saturday
8am – 6pm
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily patient schedules and prioritize in collaboration with radiologists and specialty teams.
Intake patients for referral imaging and facilitate safe movement between departments and imaging rooms.
Position, restrain, and monitor patients during radiographs, ultrasounds, CT scans, and other imaging procedures.
Perform venipuncture (catheter placement, blood draws, drug administration) and process lab specimens.
Administer and monitor sedation under the direction of specialists or anesthesiologists.
Upload and manage imaging files in the viewing database; document patient care and charges in medical systems.
Serve as a subject matter expert on positioning and image quality, training team members as needed.
Support hospital operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Three or more years of experience working as a nursing team member in a veterinary hospital.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading). Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT).
Prior experience working as a veterinary nurse in a radiology department.
