Vanderbilt University Medical Center is hiring flight paramedic staff for rotor or fixed‑wing air medical transport. The role offers an annual $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Position Summary

The Flight Paramedic provides advanced pre‑hospital and inter‑facility patient care from initial contact until care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility. The role requires a deep clinical knowledge of advanced airway, chest tube, central line, pericardiocentesis, rapid sequence intubation, and supporting collaboration with the receiving facility. Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage care according to Vanderbilt LifeFlight and VUMC standards while delivering goal‑focused, individualized, safe, age‑specific care for all patients within the scope of Tennessee and Vanderbilt Scope of Practice. Maintain clinical proficiency and competency per regulatory and accreditation compliance. Participate in program improvement activities and problem‑solving projects. Apply evidence‑based practice and review current research for application to patient care. Document care accurately and comply with LifeFlight documentation standards. Communicate effectively to facilitate quality patient care and ensure safe hand‑off when care is relinquished at the accepting facility. Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a paramedic. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a flight paramedic. Current Certified Flight Paramedic (FP‑C) certification. Ability to obtain a paramedic license with Critical Care Endorsement valid in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama; critical‑care endorsement may be obtained within 12 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pre‑Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) with advanced skills laboratory; advanced lecture components. United States Passport obtainable within 90 days of hire. Education

High School Diploma or GED required; some positions may accept a BS in Health Sciences. Shift and Availability

Must be available to work days and nights, 36 hours weekly. EEO Statement
