Job Summary
As our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well‑being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team. Every day, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality patient experience. To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient safety, and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
Receives report from previous shift and organizes and designates shift assignments; supervises aides and other Resident Care staff at the direction of the Nurse Manager.
Admits, transfers and discharges residents.
Make regular rounds for appropriate patients; account for all residents including Level A residents daily. Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and monitor residents for temporary illnesses. Ensure residents receive meal trays and communicate expectations. Observe, report, and document any changes to the Nurse Manager, physician and immediate family as directed. Answer emergency call signals. Chart in individual Resident Care Chart when appropriate. Complete 24‑hour report. Submit incident reports and charge medical supplies as needed.
Carry out physician orders by assisting, performing and documenting procedures such as specimen collection, irrigations, enemas, heat and cold application, sterile and non‑sterile dressing changes, mechanical comfort, catheterization, postural drainage and oxygen therapy.
Assist residents with medication prescriptions and administration; reorder medications and oxygen as needed. Maintain the centrally stored medication book.
Provide toileting assistance to residents who regularly or intermittently require it.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience interacting with the senior population.
Licensed Vocational Nurse: California, upon hire.
Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.

Pay Range $33.33 - $37.71 /hour
