Responsibilities The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care individually and as part of an interdisciplinary outpatient care team. They educate patients, families, professional staff, and students/interns. The RD works under general direction and reports to the Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
Registered Dietitian (RD)
Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Arkansas
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills
Interviewing candidates with all levels of experience – Nutrition, LD & RD
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical experience
Registered Dietitian and Licensed by the State of Arkansas preferred
Registered Dietitian Levels
Registered Dietitian II : 1 year clinical experience
Registered Dietitian III : Master’s degree required or Specialty Certification required; precepts dietetic interns in the UAMS internship program; 2+ years’ experience
Registered Dietitian IV : 4+ years’ experience; Master’s required; Specialty Certification required
Additional Information The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing all types of nutritional care as part of an interdisciplinary team, educating patients, family, professional staff, and students/interns. They work under general direction and report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, and willingly participate in patient care teams and support other team members.
Pre‑Employment Screening Annual TB screening, criminal background check, substance abuse testing. All applicants must have proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. on the first day of employment. Information obtained will be used in a confidential, non‑discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
