Position Overview
Prior OB/GYN experience is required for this on‑site, per‑diem opportunity. Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00/hour. The LPN triages patients by telephone or walk‑in to determine urgency, assists the Practice Manager with supervision of clinical support staff, and provides patient care under the guidance of CHP physicians. Duties are performed as assigned and per the scope of the LPN license. The applicant will support CHP’s mission, vision, and values while adhering to compliance protocols and CHP policies.
Responsible Duties and Responsibilities
Triage patients by telephone or walk‑in; approve same‑day visits when appropriate; assist with referrals to area specialists; complete PT‑1 forms; provide patient education; supervise medical assistants as needed.
Assist physicians with all procedures requiring nursing support; administer immunizations and allergy shots; manage prescription medication requests; process laboratory results, pull charts, review and hold partials—flagging abnormal results for provider review and filing normal; contact patients with results as directed; chart all procedures performed.
Run daily controls on equipment; assist in charting for quality assurance (HCG, strep, sickle cell, urinalysis dipstick, etc.); ensure billing codes are correct; perform other routine office duties as requested.

Calculate figures and amounts; solve practical problems; interpret varied instructions (written, oral, diagram, schedule).
Be punctual and reliable; maintain scheduled commitments.
Spanish speaking/bilingual is a plus.
Education
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
Experience
Minimum of three years in an ambulatory setting is preferred.
Electronic medical records experience is required.
CPR certification is a plus.
Licensure
Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
