Home Health Aide (HHA) – Job Description
OMAMA Home Health Care, a leading home health care company, seeks an experienced Home Health Aide to provide compassionate patient care within the Worcester Metro Territory.
Job Summary Completion of personal care duties in patients’ residences under RN supervision, including bathing, hands‑on care, assistance with medications and basic therapeutic activities.
Qualifications
Must meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training program and competency.
Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Responsibilities
Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
Perform personal care, bath, and hands‑on care as assigned.
Complete appropriate visit records promptly.
Report changes in patient condition to RN.
Perform household health‑care services required in the home.
Assist with ambulation, exercise, and ROM activities.
Assist with medication administration.
Attend in‑service and continuing education programs.
Attend patient care conferences as scheduled.
Working Environment Indoor agency office, patient homes, and travel to/from homes.
Job Relationships
Supervised by Director of Clinical Services or Clinical Manager, RN, PT, OT, SLP.
Risk Exposure High risk.
Physical / Lifting Requirements
Participate in physical activity, extended standing period.
Perform heavy lifting and frequent bending or lifting.
Pay Range Base pay: $16.00/hr – $17.00/hr.
