EVS Associate Evening Shift
Banner Health – Environmental Services Department, Tucson, AZ
Location:
Banner – University Medical Center – 1625 N. Campbell Ave.
Schedule:
Full Time – Evening Shift (3 pm to 11:30 pm). Weekends and holidays required. Flat rate $1/hour weekend differential and 18% night differential when applicable.
Training Requirements:
Week 1: Mon‑Fri 8 am – 4:30 pm (includes NEO on Monday)
Week 2: Mon‑Fri 7 am – 3:30 pm
Both BUMCT & BUMCS train together – location TBD by EVS Educator
Duties:
Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing.
Cleaning and sterilizing procedural rooms and operating rooms.
Emptying hampers, soiled linen, trash, and medical waste (including sharps).
Restocking supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and reporting repairs.
Performing special projects (window washing, wall washing, heavy-soiled furnishings).
Providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Core Functions:
Perform assigned cleaning tasks and plan daily completion.
Maintain inventory, restock, and replenish supplies.
Log equipment usage, protect equipment, and document repairs.
Respond to customer requests and meet service satisfaction goals.
Work independently under supervision at assigned facility/area.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
Interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
Effective communication by phone and verbally.
Read and understand material safety data sheets and handle cleaning chemicals.
Complete required Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Criminal History Affidavit where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous environmental services experience.
Familiarity with cleaning equipment and techniques.
