Summary of Role/Position The Team Lead performs moderately complex material handling system work. Works under direction with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Utilizes and directs team resources toward specific goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Monitor work flow and system functions, recommend or employ solutions where appropriate.
Perform coaching, mentoring, and motivating functions in order to improve team performance. Develop and transfer performance skills to the assigned team, and seek opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.
Assist team members in identifying areas for development and assist them in establishing skill development plans.
Participate in development and implementation of operating procedures.
Work with others in a team environment, take direction from supervisors, follow work rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
Lead and manage others effectively.
Maintain safe operating practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Functional reading, writing and math.
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
PC literacy.
Written and verbal communication / instruction skills.
Intermediate interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
