Under Guest Services Leadership, the Equipment Coordinator will inventory, manage, fix, and maintain equipment up to standard to meet the Department of Guest Services' needs. The incumbent will plan daily duties, monitor, and evaluate inventory to ensure equipment is in good working order, relocate equipment, and perform quarterly assessments. The individual will execute tactics to remain consistent with communicating the status of all equipment to all levels of management. This includes planning and preparing equipment readiness to support large events, communicating with security personnel, mapping equipment locations, and escalating challenges that may affect the success of an event.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for the inventory and tracking of all equipment and assets assigned to the Department of Guest Services on the floor, booth, offices, and basement areas, including documentation using Microsoft Teams and available inventory systems.
Monitors all equipment regularly to ensure they are working properly, including oversight for supplies, replenishing printer paper, replacing ink cartridges, troubleshooting equipment errors, and escalating non-functional equipment.
Maintains equipment performance on the floor by following up on maintenance, creating schedules for preventative maintenance, and communicating effectively with the IT department on equipment issues and regulatory departments regarding placement and safety.
Works independently on projects to create and implement new strategies that improve equipment efficiency; engages with guests while maintaining equipment to uphold service standards.
Conducts quarterly audits to ensure asset list accuracy, initiates training and support for all promotions and dedicated events.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Some college coursework preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of guest service, relevant IT, and computer experience required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA)
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
Ability to de‑escalate tense situations to problem‑solve effectively.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Personable and professional demeanor.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
No driving responsibilities; role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions – Environment
Primary work environment is in a resort and casino setting, both indoor and outdoor.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Primarily a sedentary role involving standing most of the time and constant computer use.
Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient for conversational levels in person, via videoconference, and telephone.
Speech sufficient to be heard and understood in person, in meetings, videoconference, and telephone.
Visual acuity meeting position requirements; able to prepare and analyze data, transcribe, view a computer terminal, and perform extensive reading.
Mobility sufficient to move safely in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and operate a vehicle during travel to events, meetings, and properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods while maintaining efficiency throughout the shift.
