Position
Captain – Private 40m Motor Yacht
Overview We are seeking an experienced and professional Captain to take command of a private 40-metre motor yacht Cayman Island flagged 377GT. This is a full-time, permanent position onboard a privately operated vessel with an established cruising itinerary and a close-knit, professional crew and lovely owners. Currently in mainland Spain for shipyard, Mediterranean cruising in the summer months.
Requirements
Minimum Master 500GT (preferably Master 3000GT)
Strong background in private motor yacht operations (charter experience a plus)
Proven experience as Captain on vessels 35m+
Excellent leadership, communication, and crew management skills
Solid understanding of mini ISM/ISPS, budgeting, maintenance, and safety management
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
Non-smoker, professional appearance, and hands‑on approach
Responsibilities
Safe and efficient navigation and operation of the vessel
Management and training of the crew
Maintenance oversight, refit coordination, and passage planning
Budget control and reporting to the owner/management company
Ensuring the vessel is maintained to the highest standards
Package Salary -
€TBC depending on experience
Leave - 3.5 days / month
