CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Portal Product Manager. In this role, you will drive the strategy, evolution, and continuous improvement of our insurance portals used by agents and policyholders. You will own the roadmap, manage the backlog, and lead delivery to ensure seamless, user-friendly experiences that increase efficiency, elevate engagement, and support our business goals.

Job Responsibilities

Lead portal evolution and optimization using Guidewire Policy, Claims, Billing, and other integrated systems.

Define and execute portal strategy aligned with company goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.

Champion user experience, ensuring portals are intuitive, efficient, and meet the needs of agents, brokers, and insureds.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Underwriting, Operations, Claims, IT, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and process alignment.

Translate business strategy into clear requirements, including workflows, data usage, and user interactions.

Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, ROI, and implementation feasibility.

Serve as Product Owner in Agile delivery, leading sprints, demos, and retrospectives to drive iterative value.

Ensure compliance and data security, partnering with Legal and Compliance to meet regulatory standards.

Manage portal access and content, maintaining balance between security and usability.

Continuously evaluate performance through data and feedback to drive ongoing improvement.

Engage with end-users and customer groups to gather and incorporate feedback for continuous portal improvement.

Qualifications / Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)

Experience in commercial P&C insurance, including portal transactions for underwriting, claims, and billing

Experience with Guidewire or equivalent core systems and portal integrations (CRM, APIs, data)

Proven product ownership in Agile/SAFe environments (roadmap, backlog, sprint execution)

Proven product leadership with strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities

Knowledge of core insurance systems such as policy, rate, quote, and issue, including API and portal integrations

Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, workflows, and user experience designs

Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders to gather needs and provide feedback

Understanding of underwriting workflows, operations, and related business processes

Demonstrated success collaborating with IT, operations, claims, and cross-functional business teams

Skilled in managing change, driving adoption, and improving processes

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

Working knowledge of agile practices for project management

Communicates in a clear, relevant and timely manner that promotes common understanding and engages stakeholders.

Work Location

This position may be hybrid or remote depending on the candidate’s location. Candidates working remotely should expect periodic travel.

Employees and their families are eligible to participate in CopperPoint Insurance Companies benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, life insurance, a health savings account, a flexible spending account, and a 401(k) plan.

We provide some benefits at no cost to the employee (Basic Life Insurance and AD&D at two times an employee’s annual salary, Short‑ and Long‑term Disability coverage, and Employee Assistant Plan).

Employees will accrue 0.0846 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 22 days a year. In addition, employees will also receive 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Salary Range

$90,000.00 – $115,000.00 annually

Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
