Project Manager – Commercial Flooring Coating (Epoxy, Resinous, etc.)
Cherry Coatings, established in 1968, is one of the largest commercial paint contractors in the country. We provide architectural, industrial, and maintenance coating services throughout Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Phoenix area with 3+ years in commercial floor coating estimating or project management. The ideal candidate is a highly organized team player who can deliver in a fast‑paced environment and handle all aspects of assigned projects from start to closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Establish a safety‑first culture and mentor all team members.
Ensure complete bid and cost evaluation for each project.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, project teams, architects, engineers, and vendors.
Respond to RFPs and deliver formal project presentations.
Conduct job‑site visits to review existing conditions and coordinate with Operations & Field Management.
Develop pre‑construction meetings and monitor progress.
Present job cost, scheduling updates, and budget updates at regular intervals.
Review all project documents for completeness and accuracy.
Develop innovative solutions on a project‑by‑project basis.
Identify, adapt, and resolve complex issues.
Meet goals and metrics.
Lead, manage, and motivate project teams throughout all phases.
Identify improvement areas and propose corrective actions.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations.
Core Skills
Leadership and coaching ability.
Exceptional floor coating installation and product knowledge.
Advanced awareness of construction site safety expectations.
High level of fluency reading plans, specifications, and related documents.
Proficiency with Planswift, Procore, BuildingConnected, PlanGrid, and MS Office Suite.
Effective listening and communication skills.
Strategic thinking and planning.
Strong financial tracking and profit indicator analysis.
Ability to handle challenges and stressors positively.
Professional push‑back attitude.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
