Our client is seeking an experienced
Reliability Specialist
to
develop, lead, and continuously improve the reliability program
at their Morristown, TN facility. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role focused on improving equipment performance, reducing unplanned downtime, and driving long-term operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, enjoys being in the field, and is passionate about reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and evolve the site
reliability progra m to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations
Partner closely with
Maintenance, Production, and Engineerin g teams to ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified equipment
Drive initiatives focused on:
Equipment and production processes
Utilities and facilitie
Controls and safety systems
Define, design, implement, and continuously improve maintenance strategies, including:
Value-added preventive maintenance (PM) programs
Predictive maintenance (PdM) and non‑destructive testing methodologies
Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement sustainable, root‑cause solutions impacting:
Production capacity and uptime
Operating and maintenance costs
Safety and regulatory compliance
Provide technical support during routine and urgent equipment issues
Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen maintenance team capabilities
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
Proven ability to solve complex mechanical, electrical, and process‑related issues
Detail‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsWillingness to work hands‑on in the field alongside mechanics and operators, including responding to critical equipment issues as needed
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineer ing (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred)
5+ ye ars of experience in a Reliability Engineering or Reliability Specialist role
Prior experience in
a maintenance leadership or technical r ole (Manager, Supervisor, or Technician) strongly preferred
