Overview
Butler Machinery has been providing quality ag equipment service since 1955. The Ag Equipment Service Diesel Technician role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel‑powered agriculture equipment in a state‑of‑the‑art training facility.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on all agricultural equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot diesel technology systems and components (hydraulics, electrical, power train, etc.).
Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow all safety procedures.
Work independently and as part of a high‑performing team.
Lift up to 70 lbs and commute to additional Butler and customer locations as needed.
Opportunistically work overtime when workload exceeds 8 hours per day (pay at 1.5× base rate).
Stay current on industry standards, product updates and continuous training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid U.S. work authorization with no company sponsorship required.
Proficiency with computer technology and strong organizational skills.
Strong problem‑solving ability and quick skill acquisition.
Minimum supervision and ability to work independently.
Preferred: degree or certificate in a related field; trade‑specific tooling skill set (hand and impact tools).
Valid insurability standards to drive a company vehicle (preferred).
