Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a Transportation Engineer 4 to manage construction oversight for Eastern Region Development Services. The role reviews design and construction plans, coordinates contract plan reviews and construction inspections on state highway facilities, and ensures compliance with WSDOT standards and technical, legal, and procedural requirements. The Transportation Engineer 4 supports the Development Services Manager by coordinating with developers, WSDOT Headquarters, and local agencies; responding to engineering inquiries; conducting field reviews for ADA compliance; and providing monthly status reports on active construction projects. The position may also assist Regional Project Development staff during peak demand and support planning office sections with engineering analyses, concept plans, cost estimates, and related functions.
