Digital Channels Operations Generalist | First Citizens Bank

The Digital Channels Operations Generalist will sit within the Consumer, Wealth, and Business Digital Banking team under First Citizens Bank’s Enterprise Digital organization. The role involves taking ownership of projects from start to finish across a variety of functions, requiring high organization, adaptability, and the ability to manage independently in ambiguous settings.
Responsibilities
Operational Support – respond to inquiries, identify issues, improve team practices, streamline daily workflow, resolve escalated matters, implement enhancements, execute operational processes, document and standardize procedures.
Vendor Management – facilitate critical vendor processes including performance assessments, operations reviews, and tactical tracking of open items.
Project Management – support ad hoc projects across back‑office applications and operational processes, communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively.
Identifying Objectives – determine business needs through complex analysis and reporting, develop strategies to achieve company and department goals, and communicate through specifications, project plans, or other documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling, or Reporting, **OR** High School Diploma or GED + 8 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling, or Reporting.
Strongly Preferred
Demonstrated ability to get work done: identify problems, solve them, and move things forward independently.
Experience with Jira/Confluence.
Meeting facilitation skills.
Project management experience (action‑item documentation, work‑breakdown structure, meeting minutes).
Vendor management experience (contracts, invoices, routine operational meetings).
Extreme ownership mindset; independent and self‑directed.
Digital Banking exposure.
Strong communication skills: clear and concise.
Stakeholder management across the enterprise.
Nice to Have
Digital Banking expertise.
Critical thinking that breaks problems into actionable steps.
Risk management experience.
The base pay for this position is generally between
$88,350
and
$115,000 . Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non‑discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards.
