Multiple pay increases over the first years of service! Free Parking! What You'll Do As a Portable Load Limit Inspector
Sets up &/or operates portable &/ or stationary platform scales at selected rotating sites &/or weigh stations in order to check the weight of commercial vehicles to ensure compliance with state weight limits. Weighs & inspects self-propelled construction equipment, commercial vehicles &/or loads relative to legal limitations & special hauling permit limitations using a height stick & portable &/or stationary scales. Utilizes a state-owned portable scale vehicle to transport scales. Answers inquiries from the general public regarding information & directions. May appear in court as a witness relative to overload citations. Formal education required: reading, writing & speaking English and arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. POSITION SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
