Job Description Coordinates activities of Parts Department; serves as internal resource for employee and customer issues.
Responsibilities
Completes purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Coordinates flow of materials with other internal departments
Prepares routing slips, materials requisitions, and job order
Participates in the process of adjusting work schedules for Parts employees as needed
Recommends and implements measures to improve performance of department
Assists Parts employees in resolving customer issues
Utilizes industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers
Provides diagnostic assistance to customers
Contacts vendors to order parts needed
Requisitions parts from central parts department
Reviews invoices to verify parts received reflect parts ordered on original requisition form
Stores parts in designated area and issues parts to service department/customers as needed
Maintains records of parts received and distributed; inventories parts in warehouse periodically
Interfaces with manufacturer representatives to ensure proper discounting and payment of rebates
Processes manufacturer annual returns, ensuring necessary parts are reordered for inventory
Periodically makes visits to customers
Attends joiful meetings
Provides weekly reports and follows up on open documents, open back orders, parts‑on‑hand with no bin location
Seeks opportunities to increase Parts revenue, interfacing with General Parts Manager on possible implementation of additional revenue sources
Informs Regional Manager of any performance issues within Parts Department
Education, Experience, and Skills
Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two‑year college/technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Also, employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, lift, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear.

Work Environment
