Job Summary The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Test Center Administrator on the Dahlonega Campus. The Test Center Administrator (TCA) is responsible for providing comprehensive assistance and direction to the day‑to‑day operation of the Prometric Test Center (PTC) operated at the University of North Georgia (UNG). The TCA reports directly to the Dahlonega Coordinator of Testing. Work hours to include evenings and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities
Direct the daily operation of the Prometric Test Center (PTC) adhering to the standards of operation required by Prometric; respond to all testing related inquiries by Prometric and the UNG Assistant Director and Director of Testing; serve as a primary Prometric TCA with work hours to include extended days, evenings, and Saturdays.
Collaborate with UNG IT and Prometric tech support to ensure all technology and computer‑related needs are kept current to prevent any interruption in the delivery of exams; communicate with Prometric District Manager, Territory Operations Manager, and UNG Dahlonega Coordinator of Testing as needed to ensure that the needs of the UNG Prometric Center are met; and maintain an effective working relationship with examinees, professional associates, and colleagues.
Maintain a working knowledge of University and Prometric testing programs; maintain certification with testing clients as required; and maintain current knowledge of non‑compete and confidentiality requirements. Provide answers to questions from callers and visitors related to a variety of Prometric tests and testing policies; ensure security of test materials; verify identity of testing candidates; and maintain inventory of test materials and exhibits.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of standard professional proctoring duties and office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
Knowledge of ADA and FERPA guidelines as they relate to individuals served through the UNG Test Center and Prometric Test Center. Working knowledge of most computer office software, including BANNER, Windows, Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; outstanding organizational and time‑management skills, excellent problem‑solving skills, and superb phone etiquette.
Ability to remain customer friendly and maintain attention to detail in the midst of frequent interruptions; ability to work successfully as part of a team in a high‑demand, fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.
Ability to learn and apply new technology as needed; maintain confidentiality of candidate test records and personal information.
Ability to stay focused and detail‑oriented under intense surveillance. Work performance is monitored & evaluated by external clients/vendors by way of audio and video surveillance and "secret shoppers" posing as testing candidates. Failure to maintain contractual requirements could result in financial loss to the institution or termination of testing client contracts.
Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with customers from varied industries to include academic, corporate, government, financial, healthcare, and information technology.
Availability to work extended days, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to organize and prioritize work requests to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures and, when appropriate, recommend and/or implement changes.
Ability to complete concurrent or multiple tasks independently and creatively in a timely manner and under pressure of deadlines; work well with people from different racial, cultural and other backgrounds, and possess a strong commitment to the mission of the University.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Prometric Test Center Administrator Certification; FBI and IRS clearance for administration of Internal Revenue Service exams. Able to obtain additional TCA certification in the following areas within the first twelve (12) weeks of employment: College Level Examination Program, DANTES Subject Standardized Test program, ETS Standard Testing Network Center, and others as required.
Two years of required experience in an office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proposed Salary
$18.34–$20.17 per hour.
