Sr Facilities Manager – CBRE
Location: Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, United States of America
About The Role As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a data center. This job is part of the Facilities Management functional area, which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to Property Managers regarding repairs and investment plans.
What You’ll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees, track training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor as needed.
Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
Prepare and manage large, high‑profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations; suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrades.
Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
Develop vendor relationships, oversee invoicing procedures, and review/approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor.
Apply a broad knowledge of the business and how it integrates with other disciplines to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values, influencing others while adhering to policies and plans.
Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
Understand the broader impact across the department.
Improve existing methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5‑8 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver’s license required; Facility Management certification preferred.
Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Ability to handle sensitive, complex, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and resolve problems.
Leadership skills to motivate the team toward broad operational targets impacting multiple disciplines.
In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Intermediate math skills: ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and financial‑related figures.
