Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on the assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practices, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Recommend items for sale, including trade‑up and companion items, and promote promotional and seasonal merchandise.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as required.
Maintain clean and well‑merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and manage stock rotation.
Assist with pharmacy system tasks such as entering patient data, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and reporting prescription errors.
Help with inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
Ensure compliance with policies on regulated products and safety procedures.
Assist with photo services, pick‑up responsibilities, and exterior/ interior maintenance.
Meet all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification.
Attend training and complete required PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Strong mathematical skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
