Our client, based out of Fort Wayne, IN, provides CNC precision machining, design engineering, industrial repair, prototyping, and fabrication services to customers with a range of needs from custom projects to large‑scale production runs. Business Development Manager We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is goal‑oriented, self‑confident, organized, and computer literate. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, relationship building, and a hunter mentality. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred), and a solid understanding of the CNC precision machining industry.
Base Pay Range $90,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year.
Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth across the sales cycle from prospecting to closed‑won.
Manage the entire sales cycle using CRM and other tools.
Qualify, promote, and sell Proform service offerings to new business opportunities.
Maintain and grow a lead inventory to generate qualified opportunities.
Drive RFQ process from bid submission through final negotiation to closed‑won/lost.
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and penetration opportunities.
Collaborate with customers’ engineers to accurately understand requirements.
Develop and execute sales plans, strategies, and tactics to meet targets.
Communicate with customers to ensure superior service levels and OTD compliance.
Support production and other teams to resolve issues and meet delivery dates.
Coordinate with engineering, accounting, and staff to ensure satisfaction.
Analyze performance, identify improvement areas, and report results.
Lead marketing activities: identify segments, develop brand awareness plans, drive inquiries, and conduct competitive analysis.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong prospecting skillset and a hunter mentality.
Negotiating ability to achieve desired outcomes.
Collaborative mindset to strengthen partnerships inside and outside the organization.
Critical thinking to evaluate options and reach logical conclusions.
Track record of setting and meeting sales targets.
Experience in manufacturing, especially CNC machining and fabrication (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
5–7 years of business‑level sales experience.
Knowledge of machine shop and production parts markets (plus).
Autonomous and self‑starter attitude.
Ethical, honest, and trustworthy.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
Authorized to work in the United States.
