Key Responsibilities

Coordinating and scheduling near‑term (primarily 0‑4 month horizon) supply/demand plans for all specified machines and/or materials (Finished Goods, Intermediate Goods, and Raw Materials).

Developing weekly rolling finite plans to optimize machine and material usage.

Creating and communicating a valid master production schedule on a weekly rolling basis to maximize available machine hours, material usage, and labor.

Managing the raw material portfolio and reviewing daily and weekly planning schedules to account for operational changes and business requirements.

Monitoring production schedule, raw material ordering systems, and exception signals to ensure supply of finished products to customers.

Defining and communicating raw material concerns or issues and their impact on finite production schedules.

Maintaining specific system master data fields to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date information drives ERP decisions.

Participating and providing input into site and GBU Sales and Operations Plan.

Generating cost savings, cost avoidance, and product improvement initiatives where possible.

Dynamic rescheduling to cope with short‑term production issues and confirming sales order dates.

Coordinating with other departments (Customer Service, Logistics, Production, etc.) to align planning and execution.

Supply & Demand Coordination (0‑4 Months)

Preparation and coordination of specified supply and demand plans.

Developing a monthly supply‑demand plan with visibility to material demands, identifying barriers/constraints, and recommending gap‑resolution actions.

Managing specified material needs using the monthly supply plan, MRP exception messages, and SAP tools such as configuration planning, material availability review, and inventory analysis.

Serving as the coordination role between planning and customer service across sites or worldwide when necessary.

Integrating SAP planning and scheduling with machine interfaces to align near‑term and long‑term plans.

Planning Responsibilities

Production planning against medium and short term plans.

Dynamic rescheduling and sales order confirmations.

Inventory Management

Optimizing manufacturing and customer service relationships as it relates to specified materials (balancing manufacturing cost and inventory carrying cost).

Analyzing supply risks and defining alternative recommendations.

Utilizing inventory tools to manage specified material inventories.

Conducting weekly analysis of manufactured and purchased materials and end‑of‑month inventory valuation, including cross‑referencing, SMOG analysis, and opportunities for SMOG/scrap sales or inventory transfer to other sites.

Coordinating production order adjustments or purchase order changes to maximize inventory usage.

Conducting forecast reviews for planned production and/or purchase orders.

Performance Measurements (next 12 months)

Acquire product, material, and process knowledge.

Implement, expand, and sustain monthly supply/demand plans.

Standardize specified material management activities via formalized business process development.

Establish relationships with internal and external customers.

Rapidly assess constraint situations and apply what‑if scenario planning using commercial upside/risk demand numbers.

Improve cost position through refined planning, reducing expedited purchases, managing inventories within target levels, and negotiating one‑time material needs.

Key Metrics

Actual versus planned lead‑times.

Achieve monthly inventory targets.

On‑time, in‑full delivery.

Meet customer request dates. Timely order processing.

Number of stock‑outs.

Number of schedule changes in fixed‑week plan.

Inventory levels on hand (in $ and days).

SMOG monitoring and disposition.

Qualifications

Completed BS degree.

5–7 years of experience (or 2–3 years with a Supply Chain Management degree or APICS certification).

Excel knowledge desired.

Self‑motivated and capable of understanding Syensqo’s manufacturing processes and interdependencies while continuously improving personal business practices.

Business‑aware: assimilating large amounts of information and making informed decisions under pressure.

Consistent, proactive, high energy; able to work independently.

Highly developed problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.

Excellent analytical and communication skills to ensure efficient exchange with all departments at all levels and suppliers; demonstrated ability to influence others.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary and benefits package.

U.S. base salary range $88,000 – $110,000 per year, with potential adjustments based on unique candidate factors.

Bonus and/or other incentives included.
