Supply Chain Specialist I, 1st Shift

Responsibilities
Purchase raw materials, packaging, and finished goods from Behr’s supplier base, supporting designated production facilities.
Assist in production planning for Behr facilities.
Maintain Distribution Center inventory levels to ensure a 100% fill rate of finished goods.
Collaborate with production scheduler to address inventory shortages.
Work safely as part of Behr’s safety culture.
Essential Functions
Maintain professional and effective relationships with suppliers.
Resolve quality non-conformances with production, quality departments, and suppliers.
Keep current on pricing, sourcing changes, and master data updates in SAP.
Work with Accounts Payable and suppliers to address invoice and receiving discrepancies.
Analyze and report on inventory age, balance, and coverage of finished goods, packaging, and raw materials.
Assist in planning production and product transfers between facilities.
Ensure inventory reporting is timely and accurate in collaboration with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Supply Chain.
Ensure timely receipt of deliveries and shipments with plant personnel.
Research and correct discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend procedural changes.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
Considerable experience in inventory control, purchasing, materials management using computerized databases.
Strong Excel skills, including v-lookup, if‑then statements, and Pivot tables.
APICS CPIM Certification preferred; required certification: pass module 1 within first year and obtain full certification within 3 years of hire.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
ERP experience preferred, especially SAP.
Proficiency with computerized inventory control systems, MRP, BOMs.
Strong data mining, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
Organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; good presentation skills.
Experience working in manufacturing or distribution center environments.
Company Information Shift: 1 (United States of America) – Full time.
Salary range: $56,900.00 – $89,320.00 USD (actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and skills).
