About the Company
Our client is hiring a Trade and Compliance Manager with a US Customs Broker certification. As a leader, you will use your knowledge and background in finding innovative, cost‑effective means to improve production control output and continuous improvements. You will partner with the factory operations in providing direction that ensures product is coordinated, monitored and completes the production cycle according to schedule. All while ensuring that the organization adheres to international trade regulations, managing import/export processes and compliance programs to facilitate smooth cross‑border operations. About the Role
As a Trade and Compliance Manager, you will oversee various compliance programs and ensure adherence to international trade regulations while managing import/export processes. Responsibilities
Appointed as single operational point of contact for the US and Canadian Customs and Trade Compliance Team; position is intended to have direct reports Oversee HTS and ECCN program compliance; including data management within ERP, Trade Compliance and Broker Systems. Position will manage global classification policies for all regions of import. Manage non‑Customs compliance participating government agencies reporting; coordinate with internal departments for proper reporting and PGA declarations Lead Special Trade Program team to support proper Free Trade Agreement declarations and support FTA Qualification support for customers Support Duty Leakage Action Planning Support Supply Chain Security program, not limited to CTPAT. Ensure timely filing of Import Security Files (ISF) Participate in landed cost modeling and support Make vs Buy decisions Audit Customs Brokers against performance standards; conduct internal audits Manage US customer returns from Canadian cross dock; assist in generating pro‑forma invoices Support with Duty Drawback claims Ensure proper valuation on import declarations; including management of the Value Reconciliation program and any additions to price paid or payable (Ex Assists) Support Customs rulings in US and Canada Serve as the account owner for Canadian CARM and US ACE / CTPAT Systems Develop RoadMap for CTPAT Compliance program; formerly known as Importer Self‑Assessment accreditation Responsible for monthly payment of Duties and Taxes to US and Canadian authorities Collaborate with finance on budget accruals for Imports Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international trade, business or law is typically required. Required Skills
Proven experience of 3 to 5 years Diploma and/or specialization: preferred in customs and compliance and logistics Knowledge in customs law, RGCE, TIGIE, ANNEX 24, ANNEX 30 Certification in Foreign Trade and Customs (IMMEX, CTPAT, OEA, Anexo 24 & 30) Audit and internal control compliance Proficiency in SAP System HTS Classification Licensed Customs Broker Preferred Pay range and compensation package
