AEVEX . This onsite, full‑time position performs safety‑sensitive functions for maintenance or preventive maintenance as defined by 14 CFR 121. Employment is conditioned upon full compliance with the company's anti‑drug and alcohol misuse prevention program required by 14 CFR Part 120, 135, 145 and 49 CFR Part 40.

Job Overview The Quality Inspector ensures that all products meet quality expectations by conducting tests, analyzing measurements, and creating and maintaining reports for fabricated parts.

Essential Functions

Inspect metallic and non‑metallic parts to required data, ensuring all dimensions are within tolerance and meet design criteria.

Read and interpret inspection manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine inspection methods, procedures, and allowable tolerances.

Verify configuration of component parts and location of fastener holes using check fixtures and measuring instruments.

Inspect welding, heat treating, bonding, brazing, and machined parts for conformance to specifications.

Accept or reject parts and record inspection results.

Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, findings, and observations.

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.

Discuss inspections and test results with QA Manager.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Competencies

Ability to read and understand blueprints, documents and manuals.

Thorough understanding of quality control standards and testing methodology.

Extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment.

Excellent organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with a results‑driven approach.

Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar software to prepare reports.

Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to work independently as needed.

Education / Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent education required.

Aircraft and aircraft part inspection with certification a plus.

FAA PMA experience a plus.

Part 65 A&P or Repairman certification a plus.

Experience 1 – 3 years proven work experience as an aircraft inspector or relevant role required.

Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit, reach and use computers and other office equipment; occasionally experience a high level of noise, adverse weather or temperature conditions; frequently repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers; occasionally lift up to 15 pounds; frequently view objects up close and at a distant range; frequently crawl, crouch, bend and climb to perform duties.

Salary Range $33.13 – $36.88 USD.
