Note: These are not Law Enforcement positions. Duties

Operate pick-up truck on remote routes; operate off road vehicles; and conduct motorized/non-motorized river patrols. Perform maintenance on remote cabins, campgrounds, and other facilities. Monitor and maintain remote hiking trails. Inspect facilities such as campgrounds, scenic rivers, cultural resource sites, waysides, and other recreation facilities. These facilities are in remote environments and may require field living conditions for multiple days. Support campground hosts in ferrying supplies to them and assist them with their campground projects. Patrol campgrounds to provide visitors with regulatory, safety, recreation, and orientation information. Engage with visitors to provide information concerning points of interest, travel routes, historical and natural features, site use opportunities/limitations, and park activities. Requirements

You cannot hold an active real estate license: nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands. Direct Deposit Required. Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination. Your resume must contain enough information to show that you meet the qualification requirements as defined in the announcement. In addition, your responses to the questions must adequately reflect in your resume. This position requires regular and recurring overtime and shift work. This position requires you to wear an officially-approved uniform while in a duty status. The incumbent is required to wear the uniform in accordance with applicable policies and be required to sign a condition of uniform wear statement. An applicant appointed to this position must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license while employed in this position. This position may require the applicant to carry bear repellent spray for protection from bears and other dangerous animals.
