Job Description: Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows. Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities. Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed. Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements. Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. Other duties as assigned.

High School Grad or Equiv (Required)
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Department of Safety and Professional Services Licensed (DSPS-LIC) - Accredited Issuing Body
Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Licensed Radiology Technologist - Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (L.R.T.) - Accredited Issuing Body
