Salary:

$65,000 + 10% yearly bonus based on performance

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides direct daily management and supervision of packaging staff to achieve prescribed operational objectives within established timelines and in accordance with quality, safety, inventory control and customer satisfaction guidelines.

Oversees the development and implementation of work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.

Makes recommendations to the Plant Manager on programs and procedures to improve overall packaging operations.

Ensures operational consistency through the use of training and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Plans ahead for future projects, overseeing the ordering of raw materials and storage of materials.

Maximizes plant efficiency through teamwork and innovation.

Through coordination with Plant Manager, establishes employee goals, provides coaching and training, conducts performance reviews and performs disciplinary action.

Establishes and maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.

Manages, coordinates and ensures the set guidelines are followed for the production and shipments of all sales samples.

Implements continuous improvements in production and reinforces with staff.

Marginal Functions

Visits customer and suppliers' sites as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

Schedules and participates in staff meetings.

Coordinates the ordering process of all raw materials as required by customer.

Addresses and manages re-work items to ensure proper actions are taken and processes are followed.

Job Specifications

Prefer bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or related field.

Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferred.

Experience in supervisory with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning.

Broad knowledge of production operations.

Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and software applications, and accurate typing skills (25 wpm minimum).

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.

Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.

Required Comfortable with Microsoft computer programs
