Location : Castle Rock, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Golden, Henderson, or Loveland area.
Job Summary : The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts. This role works closely with Branch Managers and Account Managers to deliver tailored service portfolios that maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, or a related field (equivalent work experience considered).
5+ years of related work experience.
3+ years of B2B sales experience.
Experience working with commercial property managers is a strong plus.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid driver’s license (required).
Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) or other relevant licenses – a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel extensively within an assigned territory.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Intermediate understanding of CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret business periodicals and client RFPs.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities through cold‑calling, market research, internal lead development, and networking.
Partner with Branch Managers and Account Managers to design and present service portfolios that meet client needs.
Prepare and deliver accurate job estimates and bid proposals, including scope of work, labor, and materials.
Respond to client RFPs in a timely and professional manner.
Attend pre‑bid meetings, proposal presentations, trade shows, and industry association events.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and generate additional sales.
Manage opportunities through Salesforce for full visibility of the sales pipeline and activities.
Facilitate smooth handoff from sales to operations by coordinating client introductions and site walkthroughs.
Manage assigned sales promotions budget effectively.
Meet or exceed annual sales targets.
Participate in staff and sales meetings to align with company strategy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Regularly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand, and walk.
Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
Frequent use of hands to handle tools, equipment, or office technology.
Occasional lift/move up to 25 lbs.
Work performed in office and outdoor environments, in all weather conditions.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and loud noise.

Annual salary $80,000+ (contingent on experience).
