The Opportunity

This is a remote position.

Must be able to travel up towards 50%.

Candidates may work from anywhere within the United States.

Must currently reside within the U.S. territory, preferably near a major metropolitan airport for ease of travel.

Relocation assistance is not authorized for this position.

Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

What You’ll Work On The DHS Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading digital health solutions (DHS) implementation projects and is the single person accountable for ensuring projects are completed within scope and on time.

Work directly with sales and service teams to create project plans that deliver the agreed‑upon solution in the desired time frame.

Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer throughout the project lifecycle and integrate with instrument/automation PMs and the DHS delivery team as needed.

Liaise between customer LIS and DHS delivery to enable early discussions about laboratory informatics details to avoid delays.

Develop detailed, cross‑functional, realistic timelines that include resource requirements.

Actively manage scope, scope changes, risks, and issues for each project, working with stakeholders to overcome obstacles and mitigate risks.

Maintain up‑to‑date project records in the enterprise management tool.

Recommend innovative ways to improve project management processes and performance in the PMO.

Work with cross‑functional teams to resolve conflicts, manage changes, and adjust activities to meet new requirements.

Establish routine joint operating mechanisms with Abbott and customers for good communication and alignment.

Drive on‑time project execution and customer satisfaction as primary objectives.

Ensure project timelines align to revenue projections and help translate project plans into billing forecasts.

Main Responsibilities

Lead Digital Health Solutions implementations and integrations, ensuring seamless communication between laboratory operations and hospital systems.

Manage diagnostic lab middleware solutions to optimize workflows and data accuracy.

Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments for lab diagnostic equipment rollouts.

Oversee installation, configuration, and validation of Abbott’s Digital Health Solutions in laboratories.

Identify resource requirements and schedules for all DHS related projects.

Develop implementation, risk assessment, and contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.

Ensure DHS projects integrate with existing programs and strategies to achieve long‑ and short‑term business goals.

Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, quality system, ethics policy, and project goals.

Account for successful completion of project tasks on time and within budget.

Manage resources (direct and matrix) assigned to project tasks.

Mentor and provide feedback within a team.

Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, project staff, and external experts as required.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience with LIS platforms (EPIC Beaker, Cerner, Meditech, Sunquest, Soft, etc.).

Strong understanding of diagnostic lab middleware and laboratory automation.

Proven track record in implementing laboratory diagnostic equipment and managing related projects.

Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross‑functional teams.

Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and laboratory quality assurance standards.

3+ years of project management experience with large‑scale LIS implementations.

Knowledge of emerging trends in laboratory informatics.

Prior experience in sales, marketing, service, or support functions on digital products.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
