Position Summary Title:
US Foods® Quality Control Clerk – Produce
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay:
$24.70/hour (expected base rate $17 – $25 based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate daily with buyers and warehouse manager on all issues related to perishable items, and make recommendations on dump, damage or repackaging.
Inspect and verify Purchase Order quantities for all inbound perishable loads.
Inspect all inbound trucks for signs of pest and rodents before unloading.
Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping; identify any issues to warehouse management.
Document temperatures of all inbound loads and report to warehouse manager and buyers any violations.
Responsible for proper rotation of all produce inventory and various perishable items.
Perform daily quality inspections for all perishable items.
Perform daily date checks and pull all out‑dated product from pick and reserve slots.
Complete daily dump and damage report for warehouse supervisor or inventory control.

Buyers, Warehouse management
External:
Interact with vendors, suppliers, third‑party consultants and regulatory bodies
Qualifications Education/Training:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year produce experience (foodservice, retail, grower/shipper) or similar required.
Must be able to operate electric pallet jack.
Must work well without close supervision.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Team‑player – flexible and willing to learn new things and adapt as the business evolves.
Compensation:
Depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location and other factors per law. Expected base rate $17 – $25.
