Overview Kelley Construction is a multi‑faced commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many U.S. states. We bring technical expertise to a range of projects including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, food service, large design‑build expansions, office renovations, liquid storage and containment, petroleum‑related construction, pre‑engineered metal buildings, and concrete construction.

Responsibilities

Estimate and scope MEP trades during pre‑construction.

Review contract documents and suggest modifications for MEP trades.

Lead MEP subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to owner.

Assist the scheduling department with detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading.

Collaborate with the superintendent on project coordination and temporary facility plans.

Approve material and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation.

Monitor installation, start‑up, and commissioning of MEP systems with engineer and owner.

Coordinate activities, material procurement, and related tasks with the project manager and field staff.

Communicate progress and prepare reports as needed.

Represent the company at weekly owner’s and contractor meetings regarding MEP processes.

Supervise, develop, and mentor project staff when applicable.

Lead the 3‑D coordination process to resolve conflicts before installations begin.

Oversee performance of all MEP trades, including review and coordination of submittals and shop drawings.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering; or Construction Management.

Strong preference for candidates with a minimum combination of on‑site project management, engineering, and field experience.

Experience in MEP field operations.

Physical Demands The role requires focus and detailed estimating tasks for prolonged periods, sitting and standing in an office environment, walking large job sites, and collaboration with laborers and carpenters as needed.
